Term Two Art

 This term we have been leaning about Emily Carr. Emily Carr was a famis Canadian artist that loved to paint trees and nature. So this term we have been making trees with a sponged background and then a black tree with grass on it.

Fake Newssssss

We have been  learning how to look for fake news. You need to first you need to look if it's a joke or not  and read all of the what you are reading before you share it. We all looked at a web page that is all on the fake south American octopus we used all of the steps from my poster below.     
 

It  was very fun doing this and I can not what to do it again.

My rocket tacks flight

On Wednesday I finished my Rocket so we went outside and lunched it it went start up and on the way down it hit the tree and One wing came off. After the first lunch we tried to lunch it again but when it got to 90 PSI the top came off and the top of the bottle cared. So next time I make a rocket I will pot glue on the top.

When I did this it was really fun and I can not what to do it again. I had to run or the rocket cloud have hit me. IT was so cool because it spun.

Cross Country

 On Thursday we did cross Country. The run was hard. The year five and six had to run four laps and that was 2.2km and I came 1st and next wednesday I am going to West Coast Cross Country in Kumara. I am looking forward to it,  it's going to be so much fun.

Recount, True or false

 We have been learning how to write fiction. We had to write two Recounts, one true and one false.To write a good false/fiction story it has to be really believable and convincing.

This was so much fun and hard because I had to stand up in front of the  class and read out my Recount, then the class had to vote on which one was true or false..

Have you ever done this before and would you do it again.

ANZAC

 At school we are Learning about ANZAC. We have  learned that the Anzacs went to the wrong beach.  It was not what they were expecting they got ambushed. Instead of a small hill they arrived and they got big cliffs. It was horrible they had to sleep on the ground but after three weeks that got you to it. They had to hide in trenches and if thay put there heads up ban your dead, so that made a periscope. When they had been at war four 8 months they planned an escape so the trak,s would not be killed on the way out and made guns that 

I made this letter Dear Mum, we have been in Egypt for weeks.  some idiot named John led us on the wrong beach  at Gallipoli. My best friend Jim got shot on the 18th of may . Three weeks after Jims tragic death, Jake, Bob and I  went out and  killed 16 soldes but Bob  was killed. So now it is only me and Jake because Hugh fell off the top ladder and drowned ;before we started.  Sadly a turk shot the chief. We think the turk's name was Bill    so we shot him .  It's been 4 months. Old man Jeff got his head shot off. 

It was so hard sleeping on the ground but now we are getting used to it. If we put our heads up, bang your dead. So we made a device that has a holl at one end and one at the other with a mirror at both ends so we could see up the top without getting shot. We are planning an escape. We are going to make guns that fire by themselves.

When we did this it was so fun I had no idea how horrible it was  sleeping on rocks in trenches. You should learn about ANZAC.

Today at Athletics I had so much fun. I got 5 1st and 2 2nd My 5 1st were Discis, shot put 50m 80m 1000m. My 2nd where High jump and long jump. After  the big day of Athletics the hole school went down to the beach we cleaned up the beach. But because I am in the Kaniere crusaders I went down to a different part of the beach and did a beach survey after we had finish we walked down to the rest of the school. I just got told that I made it to districts.

I think I did very well and Athletics it was very fun and I can not what for districts.
