Guitar Time

This week in the second day of lock down my naans old guitar got derived so me and Isla can play it. So far I no the D and G cord I have been practising a lot and can not what to get beater. IT hearts my fingers when I have them on a cord and I think I'm pretty good. I have loved doing this and I am getting good I practise all the time.

Anton To Go

This week we have to right a letter to an athlete at the Olympics. So I chose Anton Cooper  

I chose Anton cooper because I love mountain biking and Anton Cooper is a very good mountain biker. Anton cooper is an NZ mountain biker From Canterbury. Have you ever mountain biked? Do you think you would like mountain biking. We have been leaning how to writer a formal letter and I am loving ti.

Still just 26, Cooper is consistently at the sharp end of the professional cross-country mountain bike rankings. 

The North Canterbury professional won the UCI junior world title in 2012 and the under-23 rainbow jersey in 2015 – the only New Zealand mountain biker to achieve this feat. He took out the gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the silver in 2018. Cooper is in his fifth year with the Trek Factory Racing team on the world circuit. He has been ranked as high as seventh in the world and was 24th as the World Cup season returned following the Covid-19 break.

Matariki/Harakere Baskets

 This week we have learning how to make Harakere Baskets. When I made my one and I was working on my one for a long time. We made them for the surges that we are having on Friday and Matariki. Making  Harakere baskets is not easy the baskets  are 7 by 5. This is important because It's our culture. 

This was fun and hard I hope we can do this again. It's not easy to make a Harakere Basket you have to be very genteel or it will brake. It was changing it do this.

Term Two Art

 This term we have been leaning about Emily Carr. Emily Carr was a famis Canadian artist that loved to paint trees and nature. So this term we have been making trees with a sponged background and then a black tree with grass on it.

Fake Newssssss

We have been  learning how to look for fake news. You need to first you need to look if it's a joke or not  and read all of the what you are reading before you share it. We all looked at a web page that is all on the fake south American octopus we used all of the steps from my poster below.     
 

It  was very fun doing this and I can not what to do it again.

My rocket tacks flight

On Wednesday I finished my Rocket so we went outside and lunched it it went start up and on the way down it hit the tree and One wing came off. After the first lunch we tried to lunch it again but when it got to 90 PSI the top came off and the top of the bottle cared. So next time I make a rocket I will pot glue on the top.

When I did this it was really fun and I can not what to do it again. I had to run or the rocket cloud have hit me. IT was so cool because it spun.

Cross Country

 On Thursday we did cross Country. The run was hard. The year five and six had to run four laps and that was 2.2km and I came 1st and next wednesday I am going to West Coast Cross Country in Kumara. I am looking forward to it,  it's going to be so much fun.
